8-12-archery.jpg

Taught by co-teachers Marcy Baer & Murphy Robinson, certified archery instructors. Marcy has over 25 years’ experience in working with horses and in coaching their humans, emphasizing a positive, fun, and supportive learning environment for all levels. Murphy is friendly & approachable & is a huntress & teacher of back woods skills. In this clinic participants will work in small groups with lots of individual attention. Beginners will learn bow handling safety and how to effectively shoot a horsebow. We will spend time with horses accustoming them to the sights, sounds a feel of an archer shooting from their back. More experienced students will enhance their skills - upping speed, accuracy & shooting multiple arrows on the move. Participants will practice skills on the ground, then from horseback.

Cost of the workshop is $350. $150 holds your place. Full payment is due by Aug 11. Cost includes board for your horse (self-care, bring your own hay & shavings, leave your stall clean, turn out available), or use of one of our horses. (We have some horses with mounted archery training).

Auditors are welcome $35/day, Auditors with Archery Participation: $50/day
